Yes. To keep the Smart iD network secure and fair for everyone, a few simple rules apply:

• Toll-free numbers (such as 0800, 1300, or 1800) cannot get a Smart iD with a word, but you can create a landing page here.
• Trademarks — you may not use names, brands, or words that infringe on trademarks you don’t own or have permission to use.
• Content — exclude any offensive, inappropriate, or misleading terms.
• Format — words must contain 3–12 letters, using only alphabetic characters (no numbers, spaces, or symbols).
• Compliance — all Smart iD Numbers must follow local telecom and government regulations.

Following these guidelines helps ensure every Smart iD Number remains authentic, safe, and unique.

Yes! Smart iD works with any phone number — mobile, landline, toll-free, or shared-cost (13/1300/1800/0800).

You don’t need to change providers, ports, or your current setup — your existing number stays exactly the same and continues to work as normal.
